BIC BLOG 10/30/21

As we await All Hallows’ Eve, it was a bit of a chaotic week in BIC world! As we try to finalize the mixes on three tracks, we had a bit of a DAW (digital audio workstation) meltdown … Thankfully, no music files were lost as I am militant about backing it up, but it did cost us a complete night of studio time and some additional grey hairs! In the attempt to install a new Waves plugin, the older Mac OS we need to run for our version of ProTools did not play well with Waves… thus wiping all of our other Waves plugins. This might not sound TEOTWAEKI, but this deleted all of the EQ, compression and limiting on ALL of the tracks … basically sending our ‘almost finished’ mixes back to square one. With the looming deadline, this almost had me to the point of sending SAINTinLA’s studio MAC flying into the parking lot. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed, and our friend and studio wiz, Kevin Kipnis, got us back up and running the next day. Mr. Rozon was able to jump back on “Afterlife”, and getting it close to almost done. One day next week, and we should have this quite possibly the opening track on ‘Behind The Veil’ completed!

Last week I mentioned a cool interview that Whitney and I did with ReGen Magazine. We talk BIC, our “Orion” video and more. Please check it out HERE.

I also continue to work with Industrialism Film’s editing team, as we near 75% complete on our Matrix-esque video for “The Kiss Of The World'“. Premiering 12.2.21, this video features Kirlian Camera’s Italian Industrial-Goth-Rock goddess, Elena Alice Fossi.

We will also start filming some of the segments for the Jammerzine produced ‘Unveiled’ documentary, which is a peek behind the veil so-to-speak, of our upcoming album.

Finally; 33.3 Music Collective $ale on the complete BIC discography ends at midnight tomorrow … so visit our BIC STORE to complete your collection or get a jump on giving the gift of music to those on your Christmas list!
