BIC BLOG 10/15/22

Well, October has certainly been one of the busiest months in recent memory! This follows up a not so ‘un-busy’ September in which we released our compilation “There Is Always A Light” and also our documentary film ‘UNVEILED’.

Mr. Rozon and I finished recording and mixing our All Hallows Eve ‘surprise’ track. I also decided to throw in a 2-day video shoot for the track, which we need to have edited for the 10/31/22 (or is that 31.10.22?) premiere. Several radio shows that have always been supportive of BIC will do some semi-unannounced plays of the song later this month… before the official release date. So keep your eyes and ears open! If your kindly purchased ‘There Is Always A Light’ (a few copies still available HERE), you will get sent a link for it. The song will also be available as a download in our BIC STORE as well as our BANDCAMP page. And yes, for those who stream … on all those usual suspects.

If that did not chock fill October enough, Tish and I are rejoining Gene Loves Jezebel to share the bill with The Mission next week, on stage in Guadalajara (Tuesday) and Mexico City (Wednesday)! Other than a quick unannounced show last week, we had not played with GLJ since pre-Covid. Well, it's like riding a bike isn’t it?? I have so many great memories of playing with Human Drama in Mexico, as recently as June of this year. I am so looking forward to seeing the many great friends I have made at these two special shows! It will also be great to see The Mission, who are one of my favorites bands! As you know, Wayne has been a big part of Beauty In Chaos, and Simon ‘Slink’ Hinkler added his blistering signature guitar solo to our ‘A Kind Cruelty’. I have a sneaking suspicion more than one bottle of vino tinto will be shared!

Before I wrap this up and do another run-thru of our GLJ set … I’d like to give a big congratulations to our dear friend and BIC Family member Whitney Tai for her well deserved Grammy nomination for “best pop duo” with her dance track “Free Time”! Another dear talented friend, Julian Shah-Tayler, who has remixed many BIC tracks, has just released a new album, ‘Elysium’. It’s a fantastic record that I urge you to get HERE!
