It has certainly been a difficult week here in my country and in many places around the world. I have felt so many conflicting emotions … proud and embarrassed, elated and angry. I am not going to give anyone a lecture on my thoughts. I do know racism in any form is wrong. I was taught to never judge a person by the color of their skin, but by what’s in their heart. Sadly, what is in people’s hearts … no matter what the color of their skin is not always good. We are all one species, and share one planet. We need to find a way to share this place. To live in harmony. If it takes the death of George Floyd to finally force us all to realize this, then his murder was not in vain. Maybe it’s a subtle or not so subtle irony that 76 years ago today, a band of brothers of many colors stormed a beach in Normandy to rid the world of an evil. We can do this. We must do this.

So on to some beauty amist the chaos….

On Sunday, we got to break out of the Covid-mandated-prision and return to Tiger Lab to shoot a video for ‘the storm before the calm’s vinyl final track; ‘Stranger’. This is one of my favorite songs on the album, and it was a joy to see the amazing Kat Leon bring this song, and her lyrics to life. As our goal with all of our videos, we try to make each one as different as possible from our previous videos. I am confident we did just that, as this one will prove to be both haunting and cinematic. Tish and I’s youngest daughter, Sophia has a role in this one, and our oldest Nicole was on set to do makeup and hair. BIC’s First Family in the house!! This video should premiere before the end of this month. Details to come.
